Bitácora es una revista digital bilingüe de análisis geopolítico, económico y de materias primas, centrada en Venezuela, la región y los mercados emergentes y frontera.

No damos noticias. Escribimos piezas largas que siguen sirviendo dentro de seis meses: cómo se mide el estado real de una economía con datos disputados, qué descuentan los mercados, qué volumen de mineral o de crudo se mueve y hacia dónde, y qué enseña un precedente histórico cuando se examina con honestidad.

Se publica aproximadamente una entrada por semana. No hay ediciones ni números: hay singladuras, entradas correlativas con su fecha y las coordenadas del asunto que tratan.

Bitácora is a bilingual online magazine publishing long-form analysis of geopolitics, economics and commodity markets, focused on Venezuela, the wider region, and emerging and frontier markets.

We don’t report news. We publish long pieces that still hold up six months later: how to measure the real state of an economy whose data is contested, what markets have priced in, how much ore or crude is moving and where, and what a historical precedent teaches once it is examined honestly.

Roughly one entry per week. There are no issues or numbers — there are log entries, consecutive, each carrying its date and the coordinates of its subject.

En un país cuyas series están interrumpidas y cuyas cifras se discuten, el problema del lector no es encontrar un número: es saber cuál creer. Por eso toda entrada empieza con cuatro datos, y ninguno va solo.

In a country whose data series are broken and whose figures are disputed, the reader’s problem is not finding a number — it is knowing which one to believe. So every entry opens with four figures, and none of them travels alone.
